These cloths clean amazingly well. They are a good all-purpose size. They go in the wash or in the dishwasher to be cleaned and they're ready to go again. The one pictured in my hand is 4 years old and still good. I ordered more because friends and a raccoon took possession of all my other ones and i was down to one left.

These things are really worth a try. I don’t know what they are made of but it’s not like cotton or any other fabric. Everyone who comes to my house and uses them says the same thing “where did you get them and I’m buying some for myself”. They are light weight, dry fast, great at getting even dried on food off dishes, pots and pans, last for months with daily use and can be put in the dishwasher or thrown in with laundry to freshen up.

I use these for scrubbing and they work very well. They do absorb scents and start to stink just like a regular dish cloth, so it does need to be washed. It turned out well washing in the washing machine, but I let it air dry and did not put it in the dryer.

I thought I would try these out since I was concerned about all the different scrubbies I had: brillo pad, dual sided sponge, nylon scrubbie, cotton rag... First time I put this scrubbie to my dishes, and it handled every dish one after the other. I was done in no time, so yeah, I immediately threw all my other scrubbies out and just have this one sitting by the sink. I went back and read through the description again, and it's not a gimmick, every word is true.

I LOVE these for doing the dishes. They do a great job scrubbing without hurting/scratching anything. They last forever. And to clean them I just pop them in the dishwasher. I've even given them as gifts. So happy with them. Much better than sponges that get so smelly and germy.

I used to buy a similar dishwashing cloth from Japan but it would fall apart pretty quickly. These are much sturdier and scrubbier and I’ll be sticking with these for good!

Frequently Asked Questions
Looking to replace your stinky kitchen dish cloth?
We know you’re tired of kitchen sponges and dish rags with nasty odors, that’s why you’ll love our kitchen dishcloth alternative.
We try to answer all the questions in our FAQ, but we’ve dedicated this space for more detail and behind-the-scenes information that many people want to know about.
Why do sponges smell?
A dish rag or sponge will go bad. Regardless of whether it’s old or new, a sponge can pick up a funky smell that gets on counters, dishes and your hands GROSS.
And many of the recommended solutions don’t work, there is one that does.
Sponge odor is caused by bacteria. Sponges provide a perfect environment for microscopic organisms to grow; they are soft, wet, warm, and full of food. This is the same thing with a dish rag.
Home tips you can Try
Microwave the wet sponge:
Warning: Fire hazard.
Microwaving your sponge can kill 99 percent of the bacteria that cause it to smell. Place a dampened sponge in the microwave on high for 1 to 2 minutes to kill rapidly colonizing bacteria, molds and yeast. Never microwave a dry sponge, it could ignite. And do not microwave any sponge with metallic fibers for scrubbing. Once the germs are fried, let the sponge cool off before grabbing it so you don’t burn your hand.
(Note: don’t microwave a dry sponge – fire hazard)
Soak in vinegar, lemon juice or bleach and then soak in a mixture of baking soda and water:
Soak the entire sponge in acidic liquids like full-strength white vinegar or lemon juice to kill bacteria, mold, yeast and viruses. You can also soak the sponge for one minute in a solution of 1/2 teaspoon bleach in 1 quart of warm water. But this won’t get rid of all the undesirable bacteria as well as the microwave
Put the sponge in the dishwasher or hot water:
Another way to wash your sponge is the dishwasher. Place it into the dishwasher for the entire cycle, wedging it securely in the top shelf so it stays put while it is washed, rinsed and most importantly blasted with heat to dry. Water that is 140 degrees Fahrenheit or higher will kill the germs hiding in your sponge. Use two sponges, and rotate them out between dishwashing cycles
We have tried all of these suggestions and none of them do the job for good.
The microwave has been noted to kill some of the dangerous bacteria, like salmonella and E.Coli, but in our experience the smell remains or comes back very quickly.
The vinegar and baking soda trick works for about half a day, but eventually the smell comes back.
Why is our kitchen dishcloth alternative different?
Simple:
Our All Purpose dishwashng net cloths dry quickly. So bacteria from food leftovers and other mess does not have a wet soggy environment to grow and expand.
Our special polyester scrubber is the magic trick as it’s a strong fiber, but doesn’t hold onto moisture.
A sponge or dish rag that holds a large amount of water is also a sponge that stays wet on your counter after you’re done using it. A wet sponge can become a breeding ground for bacteria.
A sponge dotted with flecks of food sitting out on the sink is unsightly and unhygienic. Bacteria thrive on the food particles and residue left behind on a sponge. Additionally, these particles break down a cellulose sponge and can create odors, so you’ll have to toss it.
Does it still work as well as a regular dishcloth?
Of course, otherwise, we wouldn’t have one of the best selling and highest rated dishcloth alternatives.
The biggest difference is that our cloth is not for wiping or absorbing. Only for scrubbing. Think of it as a scrubber in a cloth form.
Our durable open weave is tough enough the scrape off eggs and cheese, but the open weave lets you rinse out food residue easily, making cleaning AND clean up easy.
Since these dishwashing net cloths do not absorb water, they dry off quickly and prevent foul odors.

Bought in 2018 and 2024 JUST NOW seeking to replace, or just get more. These are still kicking. And yes, I machine wash after each and every use, air dry and like new. No mildew smell or yuck. Flexible, they get into those books and crannies of the Tupperware lids we love to hate, or the naasssttyyyy coffee flask we all regret opening. Especially if you like cream in your coffee and this was found in the car from last week. Anyhow, I digress. I have arthritis so holding a fat sponge around the curve of a good isn't the easiest sometimes, these, I can even literally use a wood spoon in a glass to mosh it around and scrubby dub dub. Then into the wash! Fresh and new.
