After about 6 months of using this, the plastic clasps cracked off so I was forced to remove it. I tried to remove it as suggested, with no luck. In fact, the sponge holder itself snapped in half in attempt to remove the adhesive. So far, I've spent 2 hours, Goo Gone, a metal spatula, and pliers with not even half of it removed. Wish me luck!

Replaced 2 metal ones that were leaving rust. These are all plastic and fit the scrub daddy just fine and a regular ikea brush. The suction cups leave a little to be desired. I upgraded them with ones from the hardware store and it works fine now.
